(( DETAILS ))

hey there!, i did some research and i've found a picture of the chocolate and soap sculpture, here it is.... just look at that isn't it beautiful? , the chocolate one OMG! just love it because it's so gentile and when i see it i think of peace and calm, it's so weird ^^, anyway, answering to the last question, i think that the sculpture was made out of a mold but also needed some carving, like they did the basic cform and then they carved and carved in order to give the details that we see here, it's amazing, and the mold they used must have been hadmade because i've done some similar things back home at school and i've seen what plastic artists do and almost everything is handmade, besides it would'n be that impresive if it were machine made don't you think? ....it can be done though, with a machine we call humm... i don't know how it's called in english but is a machine where you put in like all de data, in an special software that we as designers use and then the machine translates those data into the object as it is in 3d. But i don't think it's the case =D don't know... just what i think :P

(( UNDER THE SUN ))

OMG! Yesterday we went to the museum of art, and it was awesome, i think it was the first museum I actually enjoyed, even though we only walked around the last half hour, because it was free, hahaha some lady told us that if we got in half an hour before they closed, we could walk around the museum for free =D .....so.... we did.... but I totally loved it.

There was this piece that I couldn't take picture of, but i though it was beautiful, it was 2 soap and chocolate sculptures, the one made of chocolate was almost perfect but it was made out of a mold so it wasn't really that impresive, it just was nice to see and smel =D, then the soap one was so beautifuly carved, that one i was impresed by :P, it didn't have a nose though hahaha, it was the head of a lady without a nose =D but still it was gorgeous.

And the one thing i loved the most, was that there was sections of the museum to actually interact with the pieces, we could smell, touch and share, we sat down in a chair made out of cardboard, i thought i was gonna fall or something but no! it hold my weight, but i was a little disapointing cuz there was so much material in it, and i think they could have use a lil less and think more of the structure ;) .

FIRSTS DAYS

SO... today is the 3rd day of classes at UNT (University of North Texas), it's been quite a colorfull experience since the beggining.
We arrived on July 3rd at 23:00 hrs. with the fireworks of the holydays right bellow us while we were flying in, it was such a beautiful view with the red and blue lights flying through the sky.

The best welcome ever!!, then we took the buss and get to Santa Fe building where we had to sign in and went straigh to bed, a little bit sad I must say, because we couldn't see the school's celebration for the independence day but we quickly picked up our mood and at the next day we went shooping! and we took advantage of the 4th of july discounts using only one cab to take us all to the mall, we were over 25 people using the same cab! because they didn't work on sundays so we spent around 2 hours just takin the cab, it was funny though...

Then at the first day of classes we only got our IDs and that was pretty much it....the real classes started yesterday, but that's another story.....
